New Requirements in Cayman investment fund
Under a new Private Funds Law in the Cayman Islands, private funds must provide the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority ('CIMA') with information with the registration of a CIMA-approved local auditor. Annual audits must... be performed by that auditor since 2020. Other compliance requirments include the payment of an annual registration fee and retention of accessible books and records. We have closely worked with a CIMA-appoved local auditor, and faciliated our clients to comply with the new requirments.

On 9 September 2020, Hong Kong tax department announced that they extended the due dates for filing Profits Tax Returns for 2019/20 with Accounting Date : Code 'D' & 'M'...
Code 'D' (i.e. accounting date falls within 1 December 2019 to 31 December 2019) from 17 August 2020 to 30 September 2020; and
Code 'M' (i.e. accounting date falls within 1 January 2020 to 31 March 2020) from 16 November 2020 to 30 November 2020.
